Laughter Yoga is called yoga because of the breathing - not because of the poses. Nobody is going to be twisting themselves into a pretzel, and nobody needs a yoga mat. Laughter Yoga is actually aerobic exercise! Though you will likely feel much more energized after a laughter yoga "workout"
It's not about being funny, though you will have fun! Your body doesn't know if you're laughing because you are happy or if you feel happy because you are laughing, so whether or not you are laughter is real or fake, when you laugh, you feel good, even if you weren't feeling good when you first started laughing. It's a fun, positive feedback-loop!
Laughter Yoga also has many health benefits like boosting your immune system, lowering your blood pressure, reducing stress hormones, and elevating your mood.
